When applying pesticide during the rainy season why do I need a sticker?
The purpose of including a sticker in the pesticide either in the formulation or added to the spray mix is to increase the sticking of the product on the leaf surface. This is important for systemic insecticides to improve the penetration of the active ingredient into the leaf for transport to various parts of the plant. Also for contact fungicides to allow access to the fungi in the leaf surface. The sticker will reduce the wash out from the leaf surface by rain water.
