A sustainable food system delivers food security and nutrition for the population in a way that promotes economic, social and environmental sustainability for production of more food for future generations. Transformation of agriculture and food systems plays a major role towards ending hunger, achieving food security and improving nutrition by 2023 as envisioned in the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Through our contribution, Africa’s sustainable food systems will be enhanced for better agricultural productivity, increased food security and delivery of healthy and nutritious diets for the rapidly increasing population.
