Bio Innovations

Bioscience innovations have demonstrated huge potential to contribute to Africa’s socio-economic development and growth. Cutting-edge innovations such as new breeding technologies, crop protection innovations, genome editing and synthetic biology are opening a new frontier in addressing the effects of climate change and enhancing the continent’s potential to produce sufficient food. Bio-innovations are indeed a major contributor to a food secure and health Africa. Through this platform, we aim to create a more conducive policy environment for development and utilization of bioscience innovations in Africa. We aim to leverage on partnerships to support bio-entrepreneurships and take bio-innovations from lab to market. Our efforts are geared towards realization of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2063.
